Astrapeaus
The final project for my first typography class was to design our own typeface. We used a free and easy to use website called Fontstruct. After much fooling about I landed on this spacey but vintage feeling typeface I dubbed Astrapeaus. The name was taken from an epithet for the Greek god of thunder, Zeus. After I finalized the font and packed it into an OTF file I was assigned to design two posters to display my work. The first poster acts more like an art piece using the shapes and curves of the type. The second poster is a more straightforward display of the font’s alphabet and how it could look in a sentence.
